Is it worth it...?
I have just read through a similar topic on another forum and was thinking that it would be interesting to get a South African opinion on this.
The question is this - Do you think that all the time, effort and money involved in becoming an airline pilot is worth it? And even if you do get that 1 in a million cushy job does the time away from the kids, wife and home make it worth it?
Is there a future for newly qualified commercial/ATP pilots in South Africa (previously advantaged ones)?
It would be great if some of the heavy-weights in the Industry could shed some light on this.
