A CV and cover letter are not the same. Your CV is your list of qualifications and experience which you would hand out to any prospective employer. A cover letter is what you write to a given potential employer to tell them why you would like to work at that specific company and an opportunity to explain why you are their ideal candidate.
I see far too many CVs or cover letters which muddy this distinction... oh and for gods sake do not use Chatgpt!!
On the ChatGPT subject it's actually quite interesting to see them "Embracing AI" (their words if you read the application guidance). They know many people will inevitably try to use it so rather than say they have the tools to find out if you have they basically say to use it if you wish but not verbatim. You'll potentially be lost in generic statements and your true personality won't come across.
