Did anyone heard of that? And what are your thoughts?
Yes, and ALPA is looking at it on behalf of the pilots it represents. Almost every pilot at my airline has already written their MP, myself included. The thing is that this form is simply the straw that broke the camel's back. There have been numerous cases of pilots having the medical revoked of late, where there was either no history of a previous medical issue or where the rules seemingly changed over night (or, in the PnR case, where the RAMO was all but applying Air Force standards on civilian pilots). In other cases pilots have been off for long stretches of time (+2 years or more) even after the CAME declared the pilot medically fit, but the RAMO or Ottawa decides the CAME is wrong, but without the medical guidance to back it up.I worked with one pilot whose experience was best summed up as that Ottawa didn't believe the lab results from the specialist.
