In a sense, Speed Trim is correct. The Licence no longer being valid is a loss. If it is illegal to discriminate on age in employment issues, why is it still legal to discriminate, medically, for the same reason ? Arbitrary age.

Long dispute. Long debate on PPrune. Lost my job because I ruffled too many feathers in the pursuit.

And yet, my 83 year old local GP stumbled into his office, did a Joe Biden by trying to sit on a chair that wasn't there, pricked his own finger when going for routine blood/sugar check on me . Of course, changed GP.

Numpties still in control and not much focus going on here.
