Yes I think so he was flying Typhoons later in the war. I remember seeing a painting of Typhoons taking off at his house.
A friend of mine (at my ATC Sqdn in Chesham) painted a picture like that round about 1970; whether it was the same one I don't know but it was exhibited in various places.
His name was Miles O'Reilly.
