Don't worry , there’s a seemingly endless group of old boys who retired in 1985 , coming on here to tell us about how it was on VC10s in 1970.

The job market is pretty good - my fear if I did it now is that there are so few airlines as opposed to 30 years ago , that if you screw up a couple of selections , you may have to think tangentially for the next set .

As for hard work - yes , all the low cost out and backs are hard work . A lot of people go part time or into Long haul ( this for me has its own issues ), but for £100k a year plus , they’ll want their pound of flesh .
