I would prefer to fly the A5 route over Llyn Ogwen and the Nant Ffrancon valley.
That takes me back. I rode that route many times on my BSA A10 after hiking or rock climbing during my time at UCNW Bangor. A few times I saw the jets go by beneath as I was on a climb on Tryfan or the Idwal slabs.
