It seems there's a growing trend from IAG to shift US focus to Aer Lingus. To me this seems logical and I would almost like to see BA's thinner transatlantic routes to the likes of Baltimore, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh move to/consolidate at Dublin with Aer Lingus.
That would serve regional UK connectivity through Dublin with US preclearance better in many instances than BA can. Once the Asia/Far East market becomes a bit more lucrative at such a time that Ukrainian/Russian airspace becomes less prohibitive I wouldn't be surprised to see some of these BA routes shift to Aer Lingus and free-up some LHR slots for reinstating the likes of Beijing, Osaka and Seoul.
