This is really old post, and not sure if @helipixman is still around, but trying to work out why a crash of G-BDRY on 12/08/1976 doesn't appear anywhere in any of the online accident databases that I can find. Long time ago I know

.
What's super weird is that there is a crash report for 12/08/1983 (same day and month 7 years later) where it was w/o in an almost identical sounding accident (crop spraying, hitting wires), but in a different part of the country. That's a pretty wacky coincidence. I wonder if either the reports got mixed up, and/or records were lost. Or maybe something a little more dodgy going on lol. Although probably more likely just a mistake or bad record keeping.
Oh and the reason I know of this crash is that it was my late father's first helicopter crash! There are a lot of newspaper reports form the crash as he hit an 11kv power line and was lucky to just get out with a scratch on his leg.

I remember reading in an old aviation magazine about Farm Supply Co operating out of an airfield at Rainton. It also mentions engineering was carried out at Felixkirk near Thirsk. Personally never heard of these two fields.
In addition to the heli ops they had fixed wing crop sprayers, G-AZZG & G-BEOD.
The two Hillers operated were:-
G-BDRY Hiller UH-12E c/n 2273 ex XS172 registered to Farm Supply Co 20.5.76. Picture shows it when subsequently owned by G & S.G. Neal, Holbeach, Lincs
G-BEFY Hiller UH-12E c/n 2270 ex XS169 registered to Farm Supply Co. 5.10.76.
