(surprisingly) I don't get to use it as often as I'd like, and it does have a good tool in it.
I'd suggest having a ook at the sticky again, on his behalf, as any AV updated in the last 6 months should have fixed it.
The first thing we need you to do is to download the
Fixblast tool. Next, switch off system restore, close all programs and run fixblast.
Reboot and set a new restore point. See

here if you’re using ME.
Once done, you need to go
here and download the security patch.
Although, if his machine is that far removed from a windows patch then I highly recommend that he go
here, click
Scan for updates in the main frame, and download and install
all CRITICAL updates recommended.
