A "feature" of the Notar is that when doing an EOL the coanda effect on the boom still works when you pull pitch at the bottom and they will turn left. As the RRPM decreases and the fan slows down it is nearly impossible to get it back straight unless you are aware of what will happen and lead with right pedal. If not you will touchdown with left yaw and if any forward speed they will probably tip over on their right side.
Operated and maintained one for a while and can't really remember anything that it did very well.

Once used to it and having to do a small run on the 520 was actually pretty easy to EOL , only flown a 600 for about 25 mins so cant comment
