Anyway by the time you take your exams you need to be an EXPERT on how to use it front/back, upside down & inside out otherwise you are unlike to pass GN. Even if allowed you won't have time to read any instructions.

I was going to say this - you will need to be absolutely instinctive with the CRP5, those questions are easy marks but you have to practice practice practice. I am more than aware that you won’t be using one in an airliner but a) you MAY have a fancy pilot watch one day and at least this way you’ll be able to use the bezel for calculations in the pub and b) using the CRP5 builds a decent rule of thumb in your head for drift calculations.
