I didn't accept the May assessment days, but am thinking of going there during June for the NTR FO B747.
- Does anyone know if the courses start frequently (ie. weekly basis) or are they gathering a backlog to start training after the Summer season?
- On the Confair website there is a mention of a fixed training allowance during CBT+TRTO+SIMs. Does anyone know the amount of the allowance?
A little confirmation needed to see if I have understood the "
salary" scheme correctly.
Let's imagine a scenario:
- I start the work with a fixed 21 ON / 12 OFF roster
- Let's say, they fly me out of my home on day #1
- I stay in a hotel in Frankfurt for 5 days
- I fly the B747 for 5 days
- I am on Standby in a hotel for 5 days
- I fly another 5 days
- They fly me back to my home

Do I get paid the varying daily fee (let's imagine 350USD) only for the 10 days flying the plane? Or do I get the 350USD for every day I am not at home (21 days)?

I suppose the per diems (let's imagine 85USD) are still for every day I am not home (21 days)?
Does anyone know how many hours 747 FO's are doing there now per year? And for the salary calculations I suppose I should ask how many flying days per year?
Background in RYR so not too afraid of the contractor scheme.. if the compensation is fair.
