Fill in the license verification form at top of forum and fax to FAA in Oklahoma +1 (405) 954-9922. List of FSDO's should be on www1.faa.gov Do this asap as it can take a while......helps if you find out who in Pretoria deals with it and they can expedite, because that is where the hold-up normally occurs.
They will send you a letter that confirms your SA license (can't remember if they send it to you directly, or if they just send a letter to say to pick it up at the FSDO that you elected in the application) . That is all you should need to do the flight test if you have your SA ATP. I got the FAA PPL from the local FSDO on the strength of that letter, but found out later that it wasn't necessary.
Then do the written at ALLATPS. Last look was about $200-300. They have the database down to about 550 questions which they assure you will include EVERY question that may come up in the online exams......... would have to agree with them on that, from my experience. Get there at 8 or so in the morning...spend the day going through the questions and write the exam later that afternoon. Short and sweet. If you already have SA ATP, should be a bit of a joke.
Good luck, and I will happily accept a few Bohlinger's for information rendered

....that is if uncle Bob hasn't redistributed all the bottles!
