Firstly, a good amount of the visas that were approved for the large number of immigrants over the last few years were approved by........ drum-roll........ Peter Dutton and his LNP successor as Home Affairs Minister......... it was also under Dutton's watch that the shonky laws were drafted and passed that enabled the situation where the HC ordered the release of detainees.
Secondly, this was a 17 year old kid with apparently no criminal history at all.
But let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story or a completely partisan and non-fact-based load of crap.
