Wizz air has selected Katowice, Poland, as it's principal base and has signed long term partnership with the airport manager GTL. The airline will launch services in may linking the city with hungary and destinations in Western Europe, later adding services to other eastern european cities.
It is leasing 8 A320s, 2 to be based in Budapest while the other 6 will be based in Katowice.
