Not sure I’m “Gen Z” but I used the standard of anytime you’re in moisture laden air with a true ambient OAT of 0°C or below.

….and know the capabilities of your aircraft. Watch out for any signs of build up on the windscreen wipers!

If there is freezing rain in the forecast stay indoors.
