Here are a few thoughts to start off
- Do US consumers and end-users realise they will pick up the increase in cost? The tariff concept was wrongly sold as punishing the "tariff'd countries", and while they may see lower orders in the short term, it's the consumers in the US who will pay
- Bell at Mirabel manufactures every Bell 407, 412, 429, 505 - so all those will apparently be tariffed on import to US
- Airbus at Fort Erie - more of a completion center these days for helicopters sold to Canadian customers
- PWC engines going into the US? PT6, PW200, PW210 etc for helicopters - and business jet production eg Citations will be affected too
- Optima Aero were shipping a LOT of parts to US warehouses in recent weeks to at least offset some short-term price rises for customers
- Fire seasons - agreed. Recent anecdote (and not helicopters, I know) but it was a Canadian fixed-wing water bomber that got struck by a drone in California
