Are EY paying what's advertised on their website, or have they increased the pay? I can't see why anyone would go to EY. Obviously, there will be EK leftovers and those who just really prefer Abu Dhabi over Dubai, but if EY wants to recruit the numbers that have been rumoured, having an uncompetitive package seems an odd way to go about a big recruitment drive.
Have friends at both. A FO in Dubai is currently earning more than a Captain in Abu Dhabi by around 12-13k all things included. Uncompetitive seems like the correct term.
The latest entries to Raha Beach over the last year or two have much to be desired from the mouth of a trainer. Sounds like they are just scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Wait and see what Riyadh offers and you'll see people run away.
