"the drones" as in these drones or the misreported drones over New Jersey? Certainly drones in Ukraine are a danger to many.
This is the second event of this type recently. A drone show in China had a similar falling out of the sky about 2 weeks ago. That one did not have people under the drone swarm and, trust them or not, no injuries were reported.
In both cases only a subset of the drones appear to have lost the will to fly, so unlikely to be a broad attack on the navigation or communication link. It's possible there is a bug in the planning software or that someone has found a way to hack the swarm one drone at a time.
