Thanks for that. I don't use FB for anything other than to read posts / updates from friends .

I didn't click on anything that could have resulted in a cookie clearance. As I said, I was surprised when I got the message on FB and even more surprised when the various sites suddenly all started asking for passwords and to log in. I'm not on any sites which could be called "dubious" in any sense of the word and if I'm doing a search and get a message saying " not secure", then that's it, I go no further. I also got a Windows security update saying "all clear" ,or words to that effect, since the last scan.

I should add, You Tube also deleted all the content displays and I don't subscribe to the site, only watch clips of interest.
