I was on this page a few months ago deciding on JD Aviation as it doesn't have big online presence to say the least - and as far as recent reviews this 8 year old thread was the best I could find.
As of a few days ago I can only echoe the same positive reviews from above. It was refreshing to call an ATO and directly speak to someone that is so knowledgable, unlike other ATOs that tell you to Email, get the run-around with reception or simply never return your calls.
John won't blow smoke up your arse, he's an excellent instructor - knowledgable and detail oriented. He has lots of contacts, and in my case was able to bring in another great instructor. Then, when it looked impossible found an examiner for me too. He goes above and beyond for his students - can't recommend highly enough.
