No, this is
not accurate.
We have a given set of official gateway airports. Crew members
must choose one of them as a
permanent gateway. During the summer season, e.g.
from June until September (occasionally they get extended through October), a small number of
summer gateways can be used
during this timeframe only. This year our summer gateways are Palma (LEPA), Athens (LGAV) and Faro (LPFR). They can be used if you want to place your family at or near these summer gateways during your kids' summer vacation and you start and end your tours there to spend as much time with them as possible, while not having to take vacation days.
