Bilaterals with AI

Sorry to hijack the topic. Indirectly however- it would affect Virgin recruiting.
The Indian PM recently cancelled the requirements for bilaterals between SE Asian airlines and AI and opened up Indian airspace (ten destinations) for them- much to the chagrin of AI which earns a huge chunk from these bilaterals.
Rumour is that this (removing the necessity of bilaterals) is soon going to be applicable to Middle East and African Airlines too.
Being a frequent traveller I know how difficult it is to travel to India. It's been held in this stranglehold grip of bureaucracy for a long time. Hope that some more seats are available soon!
