I would like to pick up this subject again. Can anyone confirm for sure that the extension of the 747-8i spoiler panels 4,5,6 and 7 from half to full is indeed dependent on the weight on nose gear? On YouTube it seems that quite often the panels fully extend only after the NLG has been on the ground for quite a while. While it may be still the weight, could it also have something to do with the “spudder”-function of the inboard spoilers?
