I actually question the mere existence of a subforum "British Isles Aviation" - the right way (IMHO) would be, inversely, to move GA threads from there to here. The air and the laws of physics are the same, after all, everywhere.
This subforum is the only one I visit here - why should I, a retired Belgian living in Portugal, consult UK-only pages? Yet there are threads, like the recent one about IR licensing, that I'd like to follow out of genuine curiosity. Why was it moved away from my field of attention?
While admitting the accusation is slightly mean, I cannot help wondering: is there any pressure or support from certain (political?) parties or activists, to push back Britain into its proven and century-old "splendid isolation"? If not, what other argument or justification can be offered?
Maybe because it's Britannia? 😆
