Unfortunately we've been told there isn't any visitor parking, and have been offered the BA staff shuttle bus from terminal 5.
The best options for parking that I found was the Premier Inn Terminal 5 (postcode UB70EA) which is 5mins walk to Waterside. It officially has 6 hours available for non-residents or 24 hours for hotel guests at £18. There are websites that offer extended pre-pay parking at reduced rates (yourparkingspace.co.uk) but I can't vouch for their authenticity. Downside is that the car park is small and there is no guarantee of getting a space.
My backup suggestion is the Heathrow Long Stay car park which you can just turn up to on the day, but it's ~£40 for the privilege!
I looked at the options and decided public transport to Terminal 5 then getting the shuttle bus (or local bus 423 or 350) was the easiest option.
