I would say that the only reliable method to calculate the casualties is the KIA foreigner fighters that their deaths can't be covered easily.. What is the percentage of foreign fighters in Russian and Ukrainian armies? Do the math and have the figure. Let's assume 1% in Russian forces are foreigner. If we have 100 dead foreigners then total casualties must be 10000. Just an example, I don't know the numbers
So what is the point of your post ? Even more pointless since foreign fighters are likely to be in the same small number of units and therefore their position on the front - or rear - is going to play a determinative effect on the number of casualties. Progressing beyond tat, how are you going to account for the differing number of Nepalese or African widows who may/may not wail about theri losses in webspace ? Not much to recommend in your way of estimating losses.
