I understand what a great job crewing and ops departments do, but as said before , the abuse can come from these departments aswell.
I work for a BA Franchise at LGW and can honestly say there are only 2 nice people in our crewing/ops department, they smile and acknowledge you when they see you, are friendly and will always try to help you.
Then there is one crewing girl who is a nasty,rude,unhelpful and thats on one of her good days! There is also one ops guy who has great pleasure in calling you out at 4am and starts laughing down the phone... not what you need when you were just woken out of a deep sleep.
I now only try to call crewing/ops when I know the 2 nice people are there.
So it does work both ways.
