I still think that Whirlybird's logbook sounds the most traditional - pawprints and all! Mud, oil, blood, beer and a few signatures - your personal logbook is personal to you. As long as the Authority or an Examiner can establish the facts needed from it, it doesn't matter (in the UK at least) what it looks like!
