I don't believe any other school in Melbourne has a bigger IFR training fleet than LFS: They've recently updated not one but two Archer III's (DDM and the other one) specifically for single-engine IFR training plus have plans to update the Arrow DXG to IFR also (which would make it perfect for long distance navs in typical Melbourne weather). YLIL's only downside is a lack of instrument approaches to the airfield, but YMMB, YMEN and YMAV aren't far away and you need time to set up for an IFR approach anyways.
