Reminds me of the Central Region back in the 1980s. Joke was that, if the war started, we just had to empty all the supermarket and warehouses of booze and stack it up alongside the main Russian lines of advance, because they’d get so drunk the attack would just grind to a halt….
A Russian “military correspondent” under the name Ossetin complains that Russian military personnel in his Kherson sector have gone crazy from alcohol. Everyone drinks, as he says. And then this leads to unnecessary deaths, and if even one is drunk, his entire squad may die too easily.
