Thanks for that. I did but, it subsequently got better !....as in worse.
i thought there was enough natural light in my little office having taken photo's there before, but, on your suggestion moved to the conservatory via the kitchen, holding the phone, but not looking directly at it to take a photo...suddenly get a message, in the kitchen saying "success ! "....so much for getting the face within the cone shaped parameter.
But then comes the documentation verification in the form of my driving licence....both sides apparently were required.
After multiple attempts, at different locations with the light in mind, eventually, success !......followed a short time later by an email saying I have "Failed " the documentation check !....WTF came to mind, rapidly. So now, I have to send a photo of my licence to the organisation concerned, which defeats the object really.
My "faith " in Gov't IT has never been what you would call high, but this saga has reached new depths
