Walter Cronkeit went on. National TV and declared Tet a defeat....when it was actually the most important victory of the war.
The Vietnamese understood they had been beaten and had the US Military been allowed to prosecute the War as a War....history would be much different today.
The North Vietnamese were amply supported by the Media and the politicians in mufti and in uniform surrendered to it.
Those lessons need to be well learned by Israel an all other combatants.....you have to win the War at home in order to win it elsewhere.
There can be no sanctuaries for the opposition....the war has to extend to anywhere they are located and then see them made combat in-effective.
If you are to wage war it must be done without quarter until the ability and will of the enemy to fight is destroyed.
