I have a few more questions on Corendon: on average, how many nights a month do you spend away from your preferred base (apart from the wetlease in India ofcourse)?

On top of that, if you have a look at their pdf-file with information on a german contract: as F/O in the third payscale (+1300hrs) you’ll earn 6900EUR base + 40EUR/flight hour. Let’s say 70hrs on average = 2800EUR. This adds up to almost 10k a month. Let’s assume, with German tax rates, you take home 6000EUR. That’s way more than European competitors. What is the catch here? How come they always seem to be looking for pilots? Is it in the flexibility they require?

Thanks for your time and have a nice weekend.
Difficult to put a number on how many nights are spent away from base. It tends to be more during winter/spring/fall than during summer. In my case, not very often.

You are right in your analysis about the money. I think it is among the best paid in Europe. We however have no extra's or perks. You also need to pay for your commuting to/from your base yourself.

The rostering is one of the reasons people are leaving. The schedule can be rough and tedious. Essentially, full month's flying is crammed in 20 days. Frequent changes from early/late/night rotations. There is 0 roster stability, they will however not touch your 10 days off.
The other main reason people are leaving is because they found a job closer to or at home. The vast majority of crew is commuting.
