It's not about "just about working" or "coping" it's about deriving maximim revenue from the asset, and the snowbird vacations are way more lucrative than a token winter presence linking cold Scotland to frozen Canada. It might work but that likely means Air Transat taking a seasonal break instead of Air Canada.
It's not a GLA vs. EDI issue, it's a function of the very seasonal Scottish market.
