The guidance is clear: you need "The right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship" or in other words you need to be a British Citizen, or a Permanent Resident of the United Kingdom with '
indefinite leave to remain' not contingent upon any other factor. Merely getting a sponsorship or work visa will be ineligible I'm afraid.
