Yup. Truth is some guy with 1, 2 or even 3000 hours tooling around in the weeds has little to offer as an ab initio FO flying city pairs in mostly controlled airspace. Your 250 hour cadet will do as well.
That GA experience probably only makes a difference when it’s time to move to the LHS.
Not putting down GA experience, it’s just that with ever more “sophisticated” systems there is an ever decreasing need for aviators. Magenta line following button pushers do just as well if not better. Thats how engineers are designing new aircraft.
