J*, Rex, Qantas Group etc all run cadet programs to feed entry level FO positions. NJS, Skippers and a few others also were running similar programs in the past, I'm not sure whether that is still the case though.

These programs are being run parallel to GA employment streams, they are certainly not priotising GA pilots with 1000+ hrs. If anything the opposite, what they can feed from their own cadet source would be given priority as they have full control over the training product, then surplus positions are filled from GA.
