There are several other freeze lengths too, such as the eight year long haul command to long haul command freeze, but I did not mention them because I thought it best to only talk about freezes which are relevant to a new entrant, and their speed of moving to a short haul command or from one P2 seat to another.

The other thing to take into account regarding unfreezing, is that most people at the moment are joining type rated on long haul fleets.
Less training costs means an earlier release to command on short haul.
Especially if someone would accept Gatwick base on Euroflyer.
