It has been extended by two weeks to go through items and check what is agreed a bit more thoroughly with the aim of reducing the overall timeframe by reducing the number of things Fairwork has to decide. It feels a bit like the can has been locked down the road again but I can see the logic.
It’s now in the hands of fair work. Declared intractable today. Let’s hope fair work hold up their end of the ‘same work same pay’ campaign. Wouldn’t be surprised if Qantas are already privy to the end result thanks to those who enjoy cheap food and wine in the chairman’s lounge.
