I don't see what difference it makes to the UK whether Argentina has US or Chinese weapons. In that region US interests far outweigh any romantic notion that they are friends and allies of the UK, and they would probably back Argentina in any future hostilities. The US would be as much our enemy as the Chinese, maybe more so.
