This is a great point, pre-clearace is dealing with a pain point that doesn't affect the majority of the passengers on US flights as CBP process is much faster for US passport holders. Is there an outside possibility there's a quid pro quo that one from BA/VS/EUK have promised a based aircraft if this happens and so he's really going for it?
Isn’t one of the advantages of pre-clearance for both non-US and US citizens, that all can just walk straight to baggage re-claim and not have to pass through immigration when they land in the US? Depending on what time and which airport you arrive in to, even US Citizens can be held up clearing immigration.
