I know what you mean. Like the emails have been drafted, just waiting to hit the send button. Mind you they've had a hell of a task with the amount to go through. The main thing is regardless, we'll all get our decisions over the next 3 days. Can only remain positive.
I'm going to sound a bit geeky, but they will only draft 2 emails - 1 for the 'sorry but....' and the other for 'congratulations...'. They'll then use an excel spreadsheet and merge the name cells so it will look like someone has written to you personally, but it's a standard email taking your name from a spreadsheet.
Oh, maybe there will be more emails as the assessments will be taking place on different dates so if they invite you to an assessment, it will have the date allocated to you.
I don't want to be the voice of doom, but if the process of shortlisting is taking longer owing to the sheer volume, we might not hear back until next week.
