In JED it is Crowne Plaza (al Hamra disctrict), which is like a second home and is good. Down the route all hotac are good, you won't see a backpaker's vomit express.
-flight from home to/from duty - which airline, eco or C?
Whenever possible, you operate or deadhead onboard own freighters. Othwerwise saudia network, emirates, egyptair, turkish etc. All economy.
-colleagues (especially on the 777)
Generally good, with some drama amongst just retired ones, used to be treated like princesses. Bitching to colleagues at breakfast does not help, bringing it to management usually does (unless it's a broken fingernail or toilet paper is too rough).
