Regarding post 285.

The article states that Eastern Airways was formed in 1997. I could have sworn that Eastern Airways was around long before then. After searching online it does indeed state that Eastern Airways was formed in 1997.

So my question is....was the Eastern Airways from the 70s and 80s related to the present day airline. I was always under the impression that it was the same airline hence my surprise when I read 1997.

Eastern Airways operated several Douglas DC-3s on cargo charters as well as contracts on behalf of the Royal Mail. They were seen throughout the UK as well as several European airports.
