The US has a global security posture, not simply a European one.
Which, incidentally, is an argument
against the NATO 2% defence spending goal. Why should Croatia, Belgium, Canada, etc, which have no global commitments or security posture, have to commit to spending the same GDP on defence as the US which does? It makes no sense.
