There will be no increase in the overall number of flights for that whole day. This is because the scheduling cap of 80 flights per hour will stay in place – only flights that are already scheduled to happen that day will be able to take off or land.
Insane.

An airport where they base a curfew exemption on the weight that the aircraft TOOK OFF AT - not at the weight it is landing at, nor the ACTUAL noise it produces.
How does any resident who lives near the flight path of an airport differentiate the collective nuisance, noise level, flashes of shade that come from 80 aircraft vs 100 aircraft? They can't.

This backward country of ours that pretends to be so forward... We are a joke to our peers overseas.
