Space Shuttle Columbia
I seem to recall that on display at RNZAF Wigram 2 Mess Bar there was a zap from 883 course (or similar) hermetically sealed in plastic with a letter from NASA confirming that it had flown in the space shuttle Challenger. This would probably be the record for distance/altitude/expense, unless a zap has gone on a deep space probe (which I doubt!).
It was there hanging up in the bar in 1985 and 1986, but after the sad demise of said space shuttle (April 1986) it mysteriously vanished.
Probably something else those 2 miserable barmen skimmed from that place...
