Don't get me wrong, an initial issue of an ASIC has to be thorough but why reinvent the wheel for renewals?

I just think it's hilarious that the
very, very important ASIC, which requires you to jump through all these hoops to get (including showing a Birth Certificate) is then not accepted as the form of identification for a renewal. For a known candidate!
